The American Viola Society (AVS), host of the 2022 American Viola Society Festival & 47th International Viola Congress, invites proposals for performances and presentations for this first-ever joint event! This Festival & Congress will be held at the Schwob School of Music, Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia, USA. We welcome proposals relating to any subject of interest to the international viola community. Recognizing the diversity of the viola world, we encourage proposals relating to performance, composition, alternative styles, lutherie, pedagogy, research, health and wellness, entrepreneurship, and collaborative projects. In particular, the Program Committee is looking for proposals featuring underrepresented individuals and promoting access, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in the viola world. Please see the Call for Proposals for more information and submit your proposals via the Proposal Submission Form. Proposals will be accepted through August 1, 2021.
