Please join us for the fourth annual ViolaFest Los Angeles on Saturday, February 27, 2010, hosted by Renaissance Arts Academy and the Southern California Viola Society. This fun and educational event, geared towards students, is a day devoted to the viola.

Come learn more about the viola, gain new skills, build camaraderie, meet new friends, and be inspired in a unique and supportive community of Southern California violists and friends, including local private and school teachers, faculty members of USC and the Colburn School, as well as members of the LA Philharmonic and LA Chamber Orchestra!

Highlights include a masterclass with USC Viola Professor Donald McInnes and the Gala Concert which will feature viola ensembles from Elemental Strings, Santa Monica High School, Long Beach Polytechnic High School, Renaissance Arts Academy, USC, and the Southern California Viola Choir.

All participants will perform the world premiere of Bratsche Pack, by Robert Anderson.

ViolaFest is generously sponsored by Metzler Violin Shop, Benning Violins, Old Town Music in Pasadena, and the American String Teachers Association, greater Los Angeles area.
