The Journal of the American Viola Society (JAVS) is the official publication of the American Viola Society and appears three times per year in spring, fall, and summer. The JAVS strives to cover all aspects of the viola, its repertoire, its performers, and its teachers. Maintaining the highest level of scholarship, the journal publishes research of lasting historical value. Recognizing the eclectic interests of its readers, it offers articles that are informative, relevant, useful, and entertaining.
