NEW! CASTLEMAN PRIZE

Do you love Heidi Castleman as much as we do? The First Prize of the AVS Youth Solo Competition’s Collegiate Division will be given in honor of Heidi Castleman at the 2021 American Viola Society Festival. Ms. Castleman’s teaching has touched and inspired countless violists, and through a joint effort by several of her former students donations are being collected to fund this important tribute. We invite you to join us in celebrating Ms. Castleman by making a donation to the AVS Youth Solo Competition in her honor HERE. A plaque and certificate inscribed with names of all donors to the 2021 Honorary Award will be presented to Ms. Castleman at the competition award ceremony, and our hope is for her to see an incredibly long list of former and current students, fans and supporters who recognize her legacy as a teacher, mentor, and friend. Please join us in celebrating Heidi with this very special honorary award! If you would like to start a similar crowdfunded campaign to honor your teacher or mentor with a named prize at the 2021 AVS Festival, please contact Ann Marie Brink at Ann.Marie.Brink@AmericanViolaSociety.org
