The Journal of the American Viola Society is a important resource for the worldwide community of professional and amateur violists, students, makers, publishers and string enthusiasts. The JAVS has a growing audience of over 1,000 and is published three times a year for a receptive and influential readership.

Print Ad Specifications
- Ads are not commissionable.
- First-time advertisers must pay in full in advance.
- Advertisers booking three consecutive ads will be billed for half of the total amount due the first time the ad appears, and the remainder the second time the ad appears. The third time the ad appears, it will run prepaid.
- Advertisers booking two consecutive ads will be billed for half of the total amount due the first time the ad appears, and the remainder the second time the ad appears.
- All ads must be submitted in digital format, in color or black & white. Ads must be sized correctly (at 100% for the space they will display) and be saved as print-version PDF files (preferred) or high-resolution TIF or JPG files.
- Advertisers booking consecutive ads are welcome to change their ads between issues, as long as the size remains the same.
- Advertisers will receive a copy of the journal in which their ad appears.

The American Viola Society website (www.americanviolasociety.org) is a valuable source of information for violists everywhere—performers, teachers, students, composers, scholars, and enthusiasts. Your advertisement will reach a receptive and influential audience at a reasonable cost. Online “button” ads are available in 90-day increments and appear on our home page.

- Payment in full is due with your artwork, payable to the American Viola Society in US funds
- Advertising content must be related to viola services or products
- No animation, please
- Email artwork and instructions to our Advertising Editor using JPG, PNG or TIF format with the exact pixel dimensions for large or small button ad as described above; advertisers may supply new artwork by the deadlines above for consecutive quarters at no additional charge
- When making a reservation, please specify the ad size and quarter it should first appear on the website
- The AVS reserves the right to reject an ad
- Advertisers will be responsible for the cost of requested changes if artwork is not supplied in the requested format
