AVS Mid-Winter Teacher Potluck Recording

Our AVS/Education Committee inaugural Mid-Winter Teacher “Potluck” Zoom event on Sunday, February 16th was a huge success!

Forty-one of you joined our “teaching tips feast,” from Jerusalem to Brazil, West Virginia to France and New York City. This 90-minute event was a cornucopia of wonderful teaching tips shared by our 10 presenters, with thoughtful questions and helpful input by our viewing audience. The tips shared were diverse and covered topics including strengthening one’s left hand 4th finger, dealing with focal dystonia and physicality, sound production tips (“ghost” and “scratch”), and even encouraging a supportive mindset for our young violists. The event was made most special by the warmth and collegiality shared by violists far and wide. Please enjoy the event recording below!

Thank you to the wonderful AVS Education Committee and all who participated in our inaugural “Potluck” event.  With the good vibes and shared sense of community, we look forward to our next Potluck!
