The mission of Tetra Chamber Music Institute is to enrich the musical and personal development of each student through studying the art of chamber music with a professional string quartet. Students will gain leadership experience, practice technical excellence, and develop effective communication skills while preparing musical works for performance. Each student is placed in a small ensemble and will participate in daily rehearsals and coaching with members of the TCMI Faculty. Outside of their small ensembles, students will participate in conductorless chamber orchestra and group activities intended to encourage musical creativity.
Students in grades 6-12 are eligible. We accept younger students upon recommendation from private teachers. Students may apply individually or as a preformed group.
